Youth Ministry

The Youth are divided in two groups: Middle School and High School. Each week we have a different focus for our spiritual walk. Regardless of the activity, we open and close our meetings with prayer.  We are focused on offering our youth opportunities for Service, Worship, Education, Activities, and Training.

Middle School Youth Ministry:

Vision:  The vision for Saint Aidan’s Middle School Youth Ministry is to prepare the youth for their confirmation while fully integrating the youth into the life and ministry of the church prior to being confirmed.

Confirmation is a mature affirmation of faith in the promises that were made on your behalf at baptism.  The promises made at baptism were that you would be raised to know Christ, understand the church, and to make Christ known in the world.  The Middle School Youth Ministry in all of its programs is designed to help fulfill these promises.

Worship: We have an active acolyte guild and train new acolytes quarterly. Youth who are confirmed may serve as LEM’s and Lectors during the worship services. The Youth Music Program began in December and we meet bimonthly to learn about music and worship, how to lead worship with music, how music can be used to express your faith and prayer, and what it means to share your gifts and be a servant at the same time. This worship time is open to all interested youth who can provide their own equipment.

Education: Sunday School is offered to all youth from 9:15-10:15 am. We are using the Wired Word program, which is a current events based program.  Also, Confirmation classes are offered for 7th graders and above.

Training: All Youth who work with our children are Safeguarding God’s Children trained.
