Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry LogoThe Children’s Ministry of Saint Aidan’s is focused on
Service, Worship, Education, Activities and Training (SWEAT).  The Children’s Ministry is open to all children birth through 5th grade, as well as their parents and siblings. We value children as a precious gift from God that we as a church, partnered with children and their families, work together to model God’s love so that we may grow in faith and respond to God’s love with open hearts and minds.

Service: We strive to share with others the gifts that God has given us. Children are given tools to help them learn how and why to serve God in their daily lives. Age-appropriate service projects are done during the year to help others in need in our community and beyond.

Worship: Children are invited to all worship services and during most worship services, the church provides Children’s Chapel as a way for children to worship at their level while learning the Gospel story, the lessons and kid friendly worship music. In the fall of 2008, the church will provide the children with an additional opportunity to learn the music of the church and to lead worship through our Children’s Choirs. In addition, children in second through fifth grade have the opportunity to be trained and serve as Jr. Acolytes.

Education: We offer Sunday School for all children. Children ages 0 through 3 meet in the nursery area to experience God’s love through finger plays, songs and games. Children in Pre-K through 5th grade are divided into age groups to be given the opportunity to learn scripture and how it relates to their lives, as well as learn the traditions of the church through numerous educational activities. Children will be taught who Jesus is and why He is important in their lives.  Children will learn to say the Creeds and the Lord’s Prayer, all while being taught about the importance of prayer and the different ways to pray. Saint Aidan’s provides Vacation Bible School every summer for one week for the church and community.

Activities: There are opportunities for children, as well as their parents and siblings, to interact during activities, to build relationships and support for one another, and to let the kids have fun together during FROG (Fully Relying On God) events that are held six times a year.

Training: All volunteers who work with children will be trained in a Bible-based curriculum that will challenge the children to live out God’s plan through weekly activities. Volunteers are given the resources they need to accomplish this. Saint Aidan’s requires all volunteers and nursery workers to be trained in the Safeguarding God’s Children program.

Children’s spiritual growth is a high priority at Saint Aidan’s!
…we have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We have been asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what He wants. We pray that He will give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. We pray that you will lead a life that is worthy of the Lord. We pray that you will please Him in every way.
